Dining on campus isn’t one size fits all. Our meal plans were designed to meet your unique needs. If you are looking to enjoy a meal with friends or just a snack on the go – we’ve got a plan to fit every appetite.

Students living in on-campus housing are required to purchase a residential meal plan, except for those living in Exchange Street Residence Hall Apartments. Dining Services also offers several meal plan options for those who commute to campus.  You have the first 28 days of the semester to change your meal plan.

Meal Exchange allows you to use your block meal swipes at select retail dining locations for a full meal solution. Meal Exchange is accept at Union Market, Freshens, Climbing Rock Café, Zee’s Convenience Stores, and other participating locations.  Look for the meal exchange logo at participating locations, view the Meal Exchange menu.

Meal Periods for Rob's Cafe
Breakfast:  7am to 10:45am
Lunch:  11am to 3:45pm
Dinner:  4pm to 9pm

Meal Periods for Retail locations
Breakfast:  7am to 11am
Lunch:  11am to 4pm
Dinner:  4pm to 9pm
Late Night:   9pm to 12am

The Tuition Guarantee Program -The University of Akron Tuition Guarantee Program provides fixed tuition, select fees, and room and board rates for each incoming cohort of bachelor degree-seeking undergraduate students for four years of attendance, beginning with the fall 2018 enrollees. The program provides all eligible students and their families the certainty that resident Tuition, Select Fees, and Room and Board charges will not increase over the ensuing four academic year period from their enrollment as an eligible student in a Cohort.

The program applies to all eligible students enrolling at the University’s Main Campus. Participation in the program is required for all eligible students admitted at the University in fall semester of 2018 and after.  2019-2020 Tuition Guarantee Program Meal Plan Cohort rates apply to first-year degree seeking undergraduate and eligible transfer students starting at The University of Akron during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Dining Dollars can be used at any on campus dining location.
